Web Developer


S'well is looking for a Web Developer to join our team and help take our web platform to the next level.  The candidate must be well organized, self-motivated and a problem solver. This position is an opportunity to play a key role inside a growing, fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate will bring an extremely professional and reliable character and have an interest in broadening their understanding of business processes, as well as, learning our order-to-cash and procure-to-pay workflows.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Build and optimize new and existing web platforms
  • Suggest unique and novel ways to develop the S'well "ecosystem" to attract and engage visitors to the site (mobile apps, Social Media integrations)
  • Design and develop stand-alone applications, including all frontend, backend, and database layers (including schema) 
  • Prioritize coding tasks and ship code quickly and regularly
  • Work well in a highly collaborative environment and take lead on some projects
  • Support and maintain S’well web portals
  • Must be skilled in writing clean, efficient code

What You'll Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 3+ years experience developing with PHP and frontend web programming (HTML, Javascript, Jquery, CSS)
  • 1-2 years experience working with Laravel 5.X
  • 1-2 years experience working with VueJS
  • Extremely comfortable with server-side technologies (LAMP stack) 
  • Experience with XML or other data formats
  • Familiarity with current SEO-friendly optimizations
  • Proficient in Adobe CS suite products

What is Nice to Have:

  • REST API/GraphQL is a huge plus
  • Redis, Docker, Vagrant, Git, Webpack, NPM, Jenkins
  • Warehouse integration with 3rd party warehouse API
  • Experience designing and developing custom applications and workflows, working with the SME's in other departments
  • Relational databases (e.g mysql)
  • Microservices experience
  • PHPUnit 
  • Integrate with payment gateways preferred
  • FTP/SFTP integration
  • Customize WordPress  (including creating your own themes and/or custom plugins)
  • AWS hosting
